About Nicholas Pearce Wines
The story of Nicholas Pearce Wines began with… well, Nicholas Pearce.
While completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Guelph’s Hospitality program, Nicholas and a friend had dreams of opening a restaurant. Since his friend was a chef, Nick decided that he’d have to be the wine guy.
After studying wine informally and working with sommeliers in restaurants, Nick took his training up a notch when he moved to Bordeaux to attend the Bordeaux International Wine Institute, where he completed an MBA in Wine Marketing and Management, worked with some of world’s best sommeliers and negociants, and was introduced to a wide variety of incredible wines.
After returning to Toronto in 2009, Nick worked as the Ontario agent for an Alberta-based wine agency for a few years before finally hanging up his own shingle in 2011.
Since then, the company has grown from a one-man operation into a full blown team of talented and passionate wine lovers, but the mission has remained the same: to introduce Ontario wine drinkers to boutique, handcrafted and high-value wines.
